Planning Committee Monday 10 February 2025 at 7pm in the Parish Rooms, Hall Street, Crowland

Present:  Cllr. Annette Williams (in the Chair) Cllrs. David Kempton, Katie Pepper (arrived 19.10), Jon Boor, Peter Davis, Bryan Alcock, & Cathi Elphee.

  1. Apologies for Absence

The meeting was advised that apologies had been received from Cllr Turner. It was Resolved: That apologies with valid reasons for absence had been accepted from Cllr Turner.

  2. To agree as a correct Record of the Minutes of the Previous Meeting 

It was Resolved: That the draft minutes of the parish council planning meeting held on 13 January 2025 be approved as the official minutes. Proposed by Cllr. Kempton - Seconded by Cllr. Boor - all present agreed.

  1. VE Day - Maypole 

 

Cllr Williams reported that the school children will dance around the maypole on the day and will liaise with Mr Strickland to arrange for the pole to be moved from the school to the Council implement shed. The top part of the pole is currently missing and will need a replacement part if not found. The pole will be erected on site to enable the children to practice.

 

 

  1.  Bins

 

Cllr Kempton reported that an order for 22 new bins had been placed with R F Welding at a cheaper price as the previous supplier was going to struggle to meet the delivery deadline. Cllrs Kempton & Williams will meet S Warner to agree a replacement plan mainly located in North & South Street. The deadline for delivery is the 14th of March for fitting that weekend so that a project report can then be submitted.

 

 

  1. Bus Stop in West Street

 

The Clerk will review and arrange a meeting with the bus company.

  1. Hanging baskets – to clarify procedures and processes.

 

The Clerk will liaise with our staff to clarify the number of small and large baskets we have available, and the number of brackets and will confirm the numbers to Helen Kempton. He will also establish the number sold to date. Cllr Boor will liaise with our staff o sort out the stanchion repair that is needed.
