- ABBEY CLOCK
Steven Strickland gave an update on the Abbey Clock and what is needed. This was discussed in depth. There are 3 motors that wind the 3 mechanisms, but a weight has been lost.Only one motor could work if the weight is replaced. All electrics were replaced 10 years ago.
It was agreed that SS will look into replacing the lost weight and take one of the motors to DK to be reviewed.
SS will also source companies that can produce electrical wind-up systems, so that CPC can look into replacement.
Thanks were given to both the Strickland brothers for all the work they have done over the years, including helping with the hanging baskets and Christmas displays.
- CARAVAN PARK PLANNING ENFORCEMENT
Correspondence had been received regarding the Caravan Park.SHDC are aware of the additional static caravans on site and has been liaising with the planning agent for the site. It has been requested that they either submit a retrospective planning application to try and regularise things, or alternatively reduce the caravans to the permitted 16 statics and 15 touring caravans.
- HANGING BASKETS
The costs from the nursery need to be confirmed. It was suggested and agreed that the price increase for the baskets to be from £35 to £37, and the donation for the Stanchions to stay the same at £20 donation, once confirmation has been received.
