Planning Committee - Monday 19 May 2025 at 7pm in the Parish Rooms, Hall Street, Crowland

Present:  Cllr. Cathi Elphee (in the Chair) Cllrs. David Kempton, Peter Davis, Bryan Alcock, Graham Searle, Jordan Bloom, & Annette Williams  .

Also in attendance: G Hawkes Clerk (minute taker).

On the proposition of Cllr Alcock, seconded by Cllr Davis, and agreed by all Cllr Williams was appointed Vice Chairman of the Planning Committee.

It was Resolved: That the draft minutes of the parish council planning meeting held on 14 April 2025 be approved as the official minutes. Proposed by Cllr. Davis - seconded by Cllr. Williams and all present agreed.

The Clerk is due to attend the next PCC meeting after which he will contact S Strickland, the initial problems identified around the counter balance have been resolved.

All agreed the event went extremely well.

Agreed a letter of thanks go to P Green who sponsored the stage.

On proposition of Cllr Alcock, seconded by Cllr Williams, all agreed for a donation be sent to Point Blank, the band who performed on the day.

SHDC are reviewing and we need to monitor any progress, as the sign remains unreadable.

  1. Ambury Gardens Plot

 

The land is registered to the Council but the concrete pad is registered to BP. Cllr Boor will speak to Lewis Smith regarding the planning potential. The Clerk will write to BP to seek their long term intentions. Cllr Elphee to provide the title number for the pad.

The Clerk has yet to progress.

 

  1. Green plaque scheme

 

There is insufficient time to pull together a proposal to meet the September funding deadline, particularly as liaison with local groups will be needed. Members believed it was a worthwhile project to consider later in the year.

Cllr Searle – re VJ day a proposal will need to go to full council in June.
