Quotations have been requested – ongoing, quotes to be checked, and new specification to be sent out with the change from 50 mil to 40 mil surface, which has been advised as adequate and acceptable. This also should bring the price down, which will still be over 30k.

TENNIS COURTS

A meeting was held with the contractors, and a new quotation was received and discussed in depth.

It was suggested that Tarmac would be adequate & preferable.  No offer to view a court with the preferred Polymeric was received.

The tarmac thickness was discussed, and it was agreed that it would not be adequate.

A reply to be sent by GS/BA

Tarmac for the tennis court quotation was estimated to be over £28,000.00

3 quotations will be needed

The wall might need to be taken down, which could be done as long as it is repaired to the correct standard. – to be added to the request for other quotes

The fencing weight of the roll is needed, standard height and galvanised appears very expensive.

A counteroffer is to be sent.

A Specification of what was needed/requested was not available. Relied on the expertise of the contractors for the quotes.

Possibility to ask the Tennis association if they have a spec for refurbishing a tennis court.

It was agreed by all that a concise report would be produced and presented to councillors for the full council
